Sherborne Neighbourhood Policing Team Crime Report

August 2020

Dear Councillors,

Below is a breakdown of crimes that have occurred in your areas during the month of August.

N.B. Any crimes of a sensitive nature have not been included in this report, e.g. crimes such as domestic abuse etc.

  • We continue to patrol all areas and are utilising social media to keep members of the public appraised of our actions.
  • In the previous report I mentioned that we are managing a four phased return to public face to face engagement which is dependent on government restrictions/advice, and that we were then at stage three of the four phase return, (phase four being we would be at a pre-Covid level of community engagement). We have now received an updated order that all pre-planned engagement activity is to cease with immediate effect. This means we have regressed to phase zero of the Dorset Police Covid-19 phased engagement plan which means that no face to face engagement will be completed.

Dorset Police has created a webpage to provide answers to questions that people may have. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions area.
